For further information please contact City Power on the numbers provided at the end of the article.

Since the early hours of the morning of January 4, several Extensions in Eldorado Park and the Nancefield have been experiencing what is best known as load-shedding.

According to City Power, the cause of this unplanned power interruption was because of a fault in the system.

The distributor supplying the Eldorado Park and Nancefield area with electricity failed, due to a technical difficulty that developed in the feeder board, thus causing this outage.

Several members of the community are left without warm water to bath or shower in, no stoves to cook food and fridges and freezers are losing their cool.

City Power said that they have already dispatched technicians. These technicians are attending the outage.

The community can now only hope for the best and hope that the electricity comes on as quickly as possible.

City power added that members of the community should also leave their switches or lights in order to see when the electricity problem has been resolved, as the supply may be restored at any time.
