Northmead residents want answers on load-shedding schedule

We invite residents of Northmead to tell us their experience of B4 and B6 load-shedding.

Northmead residents are up in arms over load-shedding which is occurring at incorrect times and not in accordance with the Ekurhuleni metro schedule.

Information received from residents by the City Times states residents in the B4 schedule are experiencing lights out during the B6 load-shedding times – some residents have even reported having load-shedding during B4 and B6 times.

Councillor for Northmead, Jacques Meiring, has confirmed a petition has been started about the erratic power cuts and that last weekend residents could come and sign this at a local supermarket.

The City Times is awaiting more information about the petition from Meiring.

All attempts to get clarity on the situation for desperate Northmead residents from the metro have remained unanswered.

The City Times is consistently pressing the metro for comment.
